Good happy hour & cocktails. Busy around 4:30pm on a Tuesday, but there was room at the bar for a couple of us. * The Monarch ($14) - 4 stars. Nice refreshing drink, a little strong for me but did the trick. * Cauliflower Fritti ($10 Happy Hour) - 3.5 stars. Good flavor, a little on the soggy side but I still enjoyed.

A friend recommended this spot for happy hour a couple years ago but I never had the chance to come during the weekdays. I finally stopped by during the weekend to try them out though! They have indoor and outdoor seating and we chose indoors since it was cold. We ordered the meatballs, rigatoncini, and bartender pizza. An order comes with 2 meatballs in marinara sauce and 2 slices of toasted bread. The sauce was my absolute favorite. Super fresh and acidic, definitely on the sour side which I looove. The meatballs were very tender and flavorful and the sauce cut back on the oiliness. I pretty much sopped up all the sauce with the bread so I wouldn't waste any! The rigatoncini had a vodka sauce with pancetta. This was probably the best dish for me. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce coated each noodle well. The sauce here wasn't acidic like the meatball but was still delicious - creamy, cheesy, and topped with meaty goodness. The bartender pizza was pretty good but had a lot going on. I love that it was thin crust and both crisp and chewy at the same time. There is a lot of sauce and each slice has burrata instead of shredded cheese, along with sausage. I felt there was too much sauce at times for me personally, since the cheese is not dispersed evenly. It's definitely a bit more balanced when you get a bite of meat and creamy burrata though. I didn't get any hint of heat, though I'm not sure if it's meant to be spicy. Overall, I had a great time eating here. Staff checked on us multiple times throughout our meal and both the store and restroom were clean. The food came out piping hot and steamy. Each dish tasted different and I was pretty happy with what we ordered. I did want to try the avocado burrata toast and margherita pizza so I'll have to come back for those.

This is a great place for pizza and pasta if you're in Downtown SF! I've been here a few times now. Recently was at a convention at Moscone West and booked a lunch reservation here. Checking in for our table was quick and easy on a Saturday afternoon at 1pm. Our order was taken and food was served in a timely fashion. Service could have been friendlier but at least it was efficient. If you have vegetarian friends with you like I did on one of my visits, there are good options here on the menu for them. Ambiance is nice with an open and casual setting including some communal tables mixed in with smaller tables. If you don't like sharing a long table with others, make a reservation. There is nice patio seating as well. They can accommodate large groups too - I went to a group dinner once and 12 of us were seated outside together. Here are some menu items I liked: -gold and red beets salad (4.5/5) kale, avocado, farro, sliced almond, goat cheese, balsamic vinaigrette -ziti with chicken parmigiana (5/5) -spicy fennel sausage pizza with mozzarella, onion (4/5) -margherita with burrata pizza (4.5/5) While it's not one of my top pizza places in the bay, the crust is very good, and it is a solid and reliable choice if you're in the area.

Delarosa is located in between union square and target, and can tend to get quite crowded. That being said, the pizza and the pastas offered are solid but nothing extraordinary. Some of the pizza's lean towards the saltier side, but my favorites include the marinara with beretta and the spicy marinara which comes with chili peppers, chili oil and sausage. The marinara pizza was crispy and the beretta was perfectly melted and creamy. One thing that was great to see was that the restaurant offered cheese alternatives for pizzas which was super convenient for my vegan and lactose-intollerant friends and the non-dairy cheese was quite good! I would definitely recommend this place overall for a good solid pizza.

This spot was great for our group that wasn't super hungry but needed some food after a long day. First, the drinks were incredible. I'm glad that they had some fun drinks with great flavor to start the meal. We began with an appetizer, which was really large but didn't really move the needle as much as I had hoped. The pizza was the same - good - nothing exquisite, but a solid price, with solid ingredients, and interesting combinations. For the location, the price, service, and pace was awesome.

Margarita pizza with gf crust. We asked for it with less sauce GF crust was ok - I have had better but it was crunchy. Mozzarella cheese on it is really good cheese. Fall green salad had pomegranates, radicchio arugula - good dressing. The small size was a good size. My husband had 4 pieces of pie and O had 2 with salad. It worked out well and was only $45 with 20% tip

Delarosa accommodated a large group of us with no prior notice. We ended up trying every type of pizza, and all were really good! The star of our meal was anything with the burrata on it, so good!
